letter s in driveway

Have you ever noticed the letter "S" stamped on your driveway and wondered what that's all about? Some builders install a PVC pipe that extends the width of the driveway. When contractors set forms and pour the concrete, they mark where both ends of the PVC pipe are exposed. This "Sleeve" allows the homeowner to pass low-voltage or dripline systems under the driveway without having to tear up any concrete or attempt to dig unerneath. Is your driveway marked? Check it out, you may be inspired to do a little landscaping upgrade!
